My research explores central ancient Greek values and how they bear on issues in ethics and aesthetics. I’m currently working on a monograph on beauty in Plato, Virtues of Appearance, and the significance of shame, honour, and admiration in antiquity. I am also interested in philosophical method and the history of ethics and aesthetics, including in medieval and early modern philosophy. But there is much I enjoy reading and discussing.
